Moving with a voice, calm yet at full speed inside. The sky moves, I can hear a rock: there is danger and beauty, and among all the rarities your ‘cro-cro-cro’ presence. Gaps, mountains, arms, legs, with the absent sea in the distance. I reconstruct, I mumble. I have a nap. I plant gentian flowers! However, they bloom every year on their own.
Elena Aitzkoa (Apodaka 1984) lives in Bilbao. She works in sculpture, drawing, poetry and performance. Her creations are a heterogenous ecosystem that feeds off physical and emotional elements that surround her. Standouts: the "Zarza Corazón" exhibition (2019); the "Paraíso Terrenal" vinyl (2019) and the "Headscarfs close to the Ground" series of performances (OsloPilot 2016).
