"The Quivering of the Reed" is an installation that links and connects scientific practices with the beginnings of the moving image. In it, a rotating plant that takes the place of a film reel creates a succession of images on the screen, with photo-chemical images developing and photosynthetic growth coming together in the installation.
Abelardo Gil-Fournier is an artist and researcher. His works revolves around the hybridization of perception, images and material production, and has exhibited in venues such as Transmediale Berlin, Matadero Madrid, Galeria Millenium (Lisbon), MUSAC (León), Laboral Centro de Arte (Gijón) or the Spanish Cultural Centres in Mexico, Nicaragua and El Salvador.
