Creative centres are key spaces to generate strategies for innovation in the arts. The hybridisation of artistic languages, multidisciplinary teams or connections to other areas of thought are some of the strategies that have been developed in Graner to create an innovative management project which, with a feminist approach and horizontal management, puts the artist at the centre.
Elena Carmona (Córdoba, 1981) is currently artistic coordinator of Graner, a creative centre for dance and performing arts in Barcelona (www.granerbcn.cat) and co-curator of the S LMON< Festival (www.salmon-dance.com), which she coordinated in its first six editions. A graduate in Journalism from the University of Seville, she holds a postgraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Barcelona and another in the Management of Companies, Institutions and Cultural Platforms from the UPF.
