Sinopsis

592 metroz goiti

In the foothills of the Pyrenees mountain range in Navarre, in the 1990s the new reservoir at Itoiz flooded seven villages and three nature reserves. Nowadays, a strip of bare earth 592 metres above sea level traces a dividing line in the valley’s landscape. Below that, water; above, life goes on as usual.

Urpean lurra

Two decades ago the new reservoir at Itoiz flooded seven villages and three nature reserves in the foothills of the Pyrenees in Navarre. The environmental group Solidari@s con Itoiz documented the fight against its construction on video, and nowadays those who were there at the time still dream about the land under the water.
